GET TO KNOW CRAIG

Craig Meschede (known to his teammates as "Meschy") was a professional county Cricketer and played for both Somerset and Glamorgan in a career that spanned over 10 years. In 2020, Craig was sadly forced to retire due to an unfortunate injury and so, after a decade in the professional sporting arena, he is excited to transition into coaching a sport and impart his comprehensive learning and experience gained over this time.

Craig is passionate about cricket and has a keen desire to help others. He would like to give back to the profession to which he had dedicated most of his life thus far. 

Craig has had the privilege of playing with some of the very best cricketers in the world, Marcus Trescothick, Jos Buttler and Dale Steyn to name a few. The experiences not only gained by playing in the professional circuit and at famous venues, but also in the coaching, he himself has received over the years, has allowed him to develop an armory of skills and techniques that can only benefit an enthusiastic and passionate young cricketer.

He is currently working with Cricket Wales as a performance pathway coach and is open to all age groups, from junior to professional.
